Sponsorship
Drive Phase PV is named after the crucial first steps after the starting pistol goes. Fail to set yourself up correctly in those opening moments and you are never going to achieve your potential and will be left in others wake.
We’re really excited to now be able to take our love of sport and support aspiring athletes and those who need additional support to be able to reach their potential.
Drive Phase PV Talent Development Pathway
Drive Phase has partnered with Harrow Athletic Club to provide support for some of the most talented athletes in the country. Harrow AC is one of the UK’s top athletic clubs but, despite this, athlete retention is a challenge as the pressures of public examinations, and the transition from school to university or employment, disrupt previous training and competition routines.
The Drive Phase PV Talent Development Pathway provides support the most talented young athletes (Under 17, Under 20 and Under 23s) to remain in the sport and to continue developing their potential. Support will be personalised to the specific needs of each athlete but could include:
· Supporting the purchase of specialist equipment.
· Supporting travel for training and/or competition.
· Paying entry fees for major competitions.
The athlete acheivements in 2024 were outstanding and we can’t wait to see what the 2025 cohort can accomplish!

Risqat Fabunmi-Alade
Our first sponsored athlete is Risqat Fabunmi-Alade, a sprinter turned bobsledder! Making the switch from track-and-field to the ice in 2022, Fabby has already competed in the Europa Cup and will soon be making her World Cup debut. We can’t wait to follow her progress through to Milan 2026 and beyond.
"Last winter was my maiden Bobsleigh season and I spent 4 weeks away split across 3 races representing Team GB on the Europa & World cup stage. Drive Phase were one of the first to help fund my first attempt at this new sport after being selected at the GB push trials in Bath over the summer. Everything was completely new and I had to learn fast how to push on ice; load into/sit in a sled as well as how to manoeuvrer them and prep them for racing.
With Drive Phases’ continued support this winter I will having a much longer Bobsleigh season with 8-10 weeks prior to Christmas alone. This means I will have much more practice on ice and be able to drive my push times down. We’ll be starting our GB women’s training October 2023 in Lillehammer Norway. The races we look towards for the 2023 side of the winter are the Europa cup races in Lillehammer & Sigulda as well as the World Cup Igls race. We’ve not yet confirmed our 2024 side of the schedule but I’ll keep you updated!
Thank you again Drive Phase for supporting elite sports in the UK."
